This was a really interesting night observing the audience. I worked with Dan one of the promoters of the night on creating an intence mood using a strobe light and our visuals. This was achieved be having blackout moment when the DJ was in the middle of a break down and as soon as he dropped the beat blasting the visuals back on to full. It worked really well and you could see the reaction from the crowd. The lack of light is important as light it’s self.

Finally getting some where with small scale video mapping. I created this using a few piece of software. Hopefully going to use these technique’s in an installation in Manchester later in the year.

One of out up and coming projects is an installation for the Museum of Science & Industry in Manchester. This will Be an interactive installation that will ask the audience what it is they want from art. My task at the moment is to turn a web cam into a musical instrument. EEEKKK. We’ll keep you posted as we progress.

For this party the promoters wanted to use a hexagonal screen as there flyer design always uses hexagons. The material used to make the screen was muslin which gave a nice effect, as it created a double image, one on the screen and one on the wall behind. I used a mapping technique to create a mask to project only on to the shaped screen.

3d visuals for content. Rather than put up a opaque screen we decided to use a semi transparent muslin type martial. We zig zagged it from the front of the stage to the back to to create layers. Because the middle layers were at different angles to the front layer it gave strange distorted 3D effect. It worked really well and we got a good response from the audience.
